He took classes in English and Science at a rural primary school in Nepal where he had to adapt his teaching to a subsistence environment. As such, Jake is a qualified TEFL practitioner. Further to this Jake has extensive tutoring experience with SEN learners, notably dyslexia and dyspraxia, and also has experience in London’s largest SEN department at higher education level. Jake read his Masters in International Relations at Leiden University in the Netherlands, receiving cum laude honours, he also read his BA in International Relations and Politics at UEA. Jake believes in immersing his students in their subject. He has achieved success by promoting individuality and expression in a structured, well planned learning environment; “I feel my strength lies in accurately identifying a student’s needs and tailoring lessons towards them which are fun, memorable and challenging.’ Jake also has a large knowledge and experience base to draw upon in tailoring these lessons.
