Experience

I have tutored 10th Grade students Math, Science and English Writing and Reading for 3 years at their homes. I have a UK Disclosure and Barring Service ( DBS ) check and plenty of experience caring for children over the last 10 years, voluntary and paid. I have worked as a PA for a teenager with Autism for 3 years and have worked for a children's outdoor activity charity called Forest School Camps for 6 years, where I worked with children of all age ranges. I have First Aid Training and Special Needs/Disability training through the charity Forest School Camps. I want to be a tutor because I truly beleive that a good and wide ranging education from many different people is incredibly important and helpful to development and enjoyment in any child's life and to realise their individual potential. I have learnt that really getting to know a child is of the utmost importance and I am devoted to helping any child with any ability as best as I am able. I have enjoyed working with children so much over the last years and want to continue as they are so much fun! I definitely want children of my own in the future.

Hobbies

I am a friendly and smiley person with a wide range of interests. I am very interested in Science and all subjects within it, but I am also artistic. I think that being creative is extremely important to learning and being an independent learner. I also think it is useful to relieve frustration through drawing or something similar and that it also aids concentration to learn how to be creative. I always do outdoor activities including cycling, kayaking and swimming, and I am a trapeze artist when at home in the UK. I think having lots of physical activity helps you be able to sit down and relax properly, but I also like revising/ learning things while walking around. I am calm person as a result, and have a lot of patience. I have every interest in your child's education and would be excited and very happy to become part of it!
