Education
I gained my PhD in political science from the University of Glasgow in Scotland in 2018. My thesis was awarded the highest grade available (an A, or without corrections). I am an expert in qualitative research, European politics and I also have a strong background in history and broader social sciences (which were my undergraduate degree).
Experience
I have been a teacher of English as a foreign language for over 5 years, predominantly in Barcelona where I was based before I moved to Utrecht. I also have experience in proofreading, editing and transcription as I previously worked for the Autonomous University of Barcelona. This involved proofreading and editing academic theses and articles as well as transcribing qualitative interviews and focus groups. I have also tutored at university level in the social sciences and qualitative research methods. I love tutoring and helping people develop their potential. I enjoy trying different pedagogical methods in order to find the right fit for the student.

Hobbies
I am originally from the UK but I am a passionate traveller and have lived most of my adult life outside of Britain. I lived for a short time in Ecuador and Germany and more recently I spend 6 years in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, where I completed my PhD long distance. I particularly love Spanish culture, language and history. I also enjoy reading, world history more generally and swimming.
